Diagnostic Services
Accurate answers. Better care.
Our advanced in-house and partner diagnostics help us uncover the cause of illness early and create a treatment plan that’s right for your cat.

Diagnosed with care, comfort, and compassion.
We combine advanced diagnostics with a calm, low-stress approach so your cat feels safe while we find the answers they need.
Low Stress Diagnostics
We handle every patient gently and patiently to reduce stress. Most samples are collected with minimal restraint, using low-stress techniques and a cat-friendly approach.

Ultrasound
We offer in-house ultrasound, performed by Dr. Bob Nack through TMI Mobile.
This is a non-invasive way to look inside your cat’s abdomen in real time. Where a radiograph shows outlines, ultrasound shows the internal structure of the organs themselves — which helps us evaluate the liver, kidneys, bladder, intestines, and other soft tissues.
Most cats tolerate the exam well. It is painless and is usually done with gentle handling, but sedation can be used if needed. We clip a patch of fur so the probe makes good contact with the skin.
How We Collect Samples & Measurements
- Blood
- Blood is collected from the neck or leg using a small gauge needle for your cat’s comfort. We use gentle restraint and go at your cat’s pace to keep the experience as stress-free as possible.
- Urine
- Urine is collected by cystocentesis, a quick procedure that uses a small needle to obtain a sterile sample directly from the bladder. It is very quick, minimally invasive, and cats tolerate it well.
- Blood Pressure
- Blood pressure is measured using a Doppler machine to hear the pulse, with a small cuff placed on the leg. The process is non-invasive and performed while your cat is relaxed.
The right diagnosis leads to the right care.
We’re here to help your cat feel better — sooner.
