Our Anesthesia & Surgery Process

  1. 1. Pre-Anesthetic Exam

We perform a thorough exam and will recommend blood work to ensure your cat is healthy for anesthesia.

  2. 2. Monitoring

IV fluids and advanced monitoring are used to track heart rate, respiration, oxygen levels, and more throughout the procedure.

  3. 3. Anesthesia

A customized anesthetic plan is tailored to your cat’s age, health, and needs for the safest and most comfortable experience.

  4. 4. Surgery

Our skilled veterinarians use gentle techniques and sterile protocols to perform the surgery with precision and minimize discomfort.

  5. 5. Recovery

We closely monitor your cat as they wake up in a warm, quiet recovery area before going home.

Recovery & What to Expect

  • Go home the same day:
Most cats go home the same day as their surgery.
  • Rest is key:
Keep your cat in a quiet space and limit activity.
  • Incision care:

Keep the incision clean and dry. Prevent licking or chewing with an e-collar or onesie shirt if needed.

  • Appetite:

A decreased appetite is normal for 24 hours. Offer food when your cat seems ready.

  • Follow-up:
We’ll let you know if a recheck is needed and are always here if you have questions.
